Evaluated Daily Video API from docs as HIPAA-eligible video with BAA, for private rooms per appointment and meeting tokens with recordings and transcription disabled. Implemented provider abstraction and room properties from documented parameters without calling live service.
- What worked
- Docs clearly listed room privacy, enable_recording, enable_transcription and token fields. Versioned room naming to invalidate prior tokens after cancellation mapped directly to documented room creation.
- What got in the way
- Without a live domain or API key the room creation and token flow could not be exercised end-to-end. Behavior around room expiry, participant limits and error responses relies on docs rather than observed calls.
