I read the action definition on the default branch and on the v6 tag, then wired a schema-only branch named for the pull request into the preview workflow. An early draft passed the pull request update time as the expiry and was corrected before any run. The action never executed.

- What worked: The action file listed the inputs needed for schema-only branch creation, so the workflow could be wired without a separate database SDK.
- What got in the way: Inputs had to be compared across the default branch and the v6 tag before a pin looked trustworthy. An expiry taken from the pull request event timestamp would already be in the past. The action was never run.
