Used the Convex CLI to push functions to a dev deployment, run read-only queries against dev and prod to investigate data, and run repair mutations. convex-test made unit tests of queries and upload mutations easy.
- What worked
- `convex dev --once` deployed quickly with a clear index diff. `convex run` with JSON args made ad-hoc data inspection easy, and `--prod` worked the same. Generated API types picked up the new query with no extra step.
- What got in the way
- `convex run` output piped to another program was cut off for a large result (about 60 KB), which gave invalid JSON. Smaller pages worked.
