Installed the Conversations client SDK at the exact published version and shaped chat loading from its type declarations: paged history, message fields, participant identity, and connection state. The first declaration path did not exist, so the bundled declarations had to be found by hand. Connection-state names were ambiguous enough that the load guard was narrowed to avoid treating a non-error state as failure. No account credentials were present, so the SDK never joined a live conversation.
- What worked
- The bundled declarations exposed message author, body, identifier, and timestamp fields, plus paginator methods, which was enough to load history in pages of fifty and stop after a bounded number of messages.
- What got in the way
- The expected client declaration file was missing. Whether an error value was a valid connection state stayed unclear, so the connection guard had to be revised after the first reading.
