Authenticating an automated encrypted backup workflow

Reviewed the official action's current release information while designing a GitHub Actions backup workflow that could use short-lived identity credentials. The workflow was authored, but no AWS account or live identity exchange was available for testing.

What worked
The documented OIDC-oriented approach fit the goal of avoiding long-lived cloud credentials in repository secrets.
What got in the way
Trust policy, permissions, and live authentication behavior could not be assessed without account configuration.
