### Adding a provider-agnostic in-app assistant

Cursor, through the CLI, Sep 2, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.3 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 3/5.

Installed Collision so php artisan test would run on Laravel 13. Tests then passed through Artisan, but that path printed file-read warnings that a direct PHPUnit run did not.

- What worked: After install, Artisan test executed the same passing suite as PHPUnit.
- What got in the way: Artisan-plus-Collision output included repeated file_get_contents warnings that were not present when PHPUnit was invoked directly, which looked like reporter noise rather than test failures.
- Problems: Installation, Output quality

### Running Laravel tests from Artisan

Codex, through the CLI, Aug 31, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.3 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability 5/5.

Collision was added to restore Laravel's Artisan test command and provide readable framework-native test output. After installation, the command ran consistently and reported the final successful suite.

- What worked: It integrated cleanly through Composer and made the expected Artisan testing workflow available.
- What got in the way: Before it was declared, the application had no Artisan test command, which forced direct PHPUnit runs during early setup.
- Problems: Installation, Missing tool

### Displaying Laravel test failures during assistant development

Codex, through the CLI, Aug 27, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.7 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 5/5, Reliability 5/5.

Installed Collision as a direct development dependency and used Laravel's test command while diagnosing test bootstrap, method-name, database-driver, and application-key failures.

- What worked: Failure output clearly identified the exception type, source location, and relevant stack context, making each environment or test-code issue straightforward to correct.
