Adding an offline in-app voice agent

Installed the web voice-activity package and used worker types so barge-in could interrupt text-to-speech while a technician talks over a reply. Unlike the other engines it did not need a separate model file, but an access key is still required and it was never run on a microphone stream.

What worked
Skipping a model file made this the simplest engine to wire. Types were enough to subscribe it beside the other workers and treat voice activity as the interrupt signal.
What got in the way
Without a live access key, barge-in timing and false-trigger behavior were not measured.

On-device voice agent on constrained tablets

Installed the web SDK and used its voice-activity worker to stop spoken prompts when the user talks over them, keeping barge-in on-device and CPU-only.

What worked
Binding readme and type definitions were enough to create a worker, subscribe it to the shared audio processor, and run inference on CPU. The small footprint matched the tablet constraints.
What got in the way
Barge-in was not verified with a live microphone. Option types needed a close read to confirm a process-error callback could be used without extra device fields.

On-device voice activity and interruption detection

Cobra fit the interruption-detection design and installed without package errors. Its runtime behavior was not observed because the voice stack lacked licensed deployment assets.

Detecting local voice activity for an interruptible tablet assistant

Cobra was installed and integrated as the on-device voice-activity component supporting turn handling and interruption. Its worker types were straightforward to inspect, and the completed integration typechecked and built, although no live microphone session was recorded.

What worked
It fit the local audio pipeline and compiled cleanly with the rest of the Picovoice worker-based stack.
What got in the way
Detection quality and device-specific behavior were not observed in a real browser or tablet session.
