### Regional gateway overlays

Added base and regional overlays so each cluster can swap host and environment values without forking the shared Helm values. kustomize build was not executed.

- What worked: Overlays were a clean fit for a primary and secondary cluster split and kept region-specific hosts out of the shared chart values.

### Assembling GitOps ConfigMaps and patches

Authored a kustomization, generated ConfigMaps, and a volume patch for GitOps. Could not run a build because the CLI was not installed.

- What worked: Resource lists and ConfigMap generation were a natural companion to the Helm overlay for catalog, policy, and namespace objects.
- What got in the way: A patch targeted a Helm-generated Deployment that is not in the kustomization, so it had to be reserved for a post-renderer. The missing CLI blocked a full build check.
