Adding object storage reads and writes to a Go service

Added the storage module at a version era-matched to the existing Google Cloud modules and wrote a thin wrapper exposing put and get operations. The API shape (client, bucket handle, object handle, writer with content type, reader, a sentinel not-found error) was straightforward to wrap and compiled cleanly on the first try. Authentication reused Application Default Credentials with no extra plumbing. Nothing was exercised against a real bucket or emulator, so runtime behavior is unassessed.

What worked
Consistent client construction pattern with the sibling Pub/Sub and Firestore libraries made it easy to wire alongside them. The exported not-found sentinel made error mapping trivial. Version selection via the module proxy caused no conflicts with existing dependencies.
What got in the way
Signed URLs would have required a service account key rather than ADC alone, so I avoided that feature and streamed objects through the API instead.

Writing private exports and issuing signed downloads

Integrated the Cloud Storage Go client for private export uploads and short-lived signed download URLs. The code compiled and passed tests, while actual bucket access and service-account signing remained untested without provisioned cloud resources.

What worked
The SDK covered both object writing and signed URL generation, allowing artifacts to remain private while downloads were authorized just in time.
What got in the way
No live bucket, IAM policy, upload, or signed URL was exercised, so service-side reliability was not assessed.
