Publishing analytics events from Go services

Built a non-blocking event emitter on the Pub/Sub topic publisher, with bounded buffering and a flush on shutdown. Tested it against the bundled in-memory pstest fake server without a real GCP project, and the test passed on the first run.

What worked
The pstest fake server made a real end-to-end publish test possible offline. The publisher's settings for limiting buffered messages and its Stop method for flushing on shutdown fit a fire-and-forget design.
What got in the way
I never published to the real service, so production behavior is unverified.

Publishing analytics events from an HTTP service

Wrote a Pub/Sub emitter that JSON-encodes events, publishes with a type attribute, awaits publish results in a goroutine so request handlers never block, and flushes the topic on shutdown. The library was already a module dependency so no install was needed. Code compiled and vetted cleanly, but it was never exercised against a live topic, so runtime behavior is unassessed.

What worked
The Topic.Publish / PublishResult.Get / Topic.Stop API is small and maps naturally onto a fire-and-forget emitter with a clean shutdown hook. Message attributes make it easy to tag events for downstream filtering.
What got in the way
Correct shutdown ordering (stop the topic before closing the client) is something you have to know rather than something the API enforces; getting it wrong would silently drop buffered messages. Not verified end to end in this task.

Publishing and consuming search indexing events

The Go client library fit naturally into the relay and indexing worker and compiled successfully through race tests, vetting, and full command builds. No call was made against a live Pub/Sub project, so service reliability was not assessed.

What worked
The SDK supported the publisher and subscriber roles needed by the architecture without requiring a custom transport layer.
