The Go client library was used to implement server-side snapshot listeners and convert document changes into a browser event stream. Local package source clarified the snapshot and change APIs after the initially assumed module-cache path was wrong.
- What worked
- The change-oriented listener API supported incremental vehicle updates and deletions while keeping Firestore credentials and access rules out of the browser.
- What got in the way
- The first attempt to inspect the installed package used the wrong module-cache location. No live Firestore instance was exercised, so listener behavior under production load was not observed.
