Designed infrastructure code to accept an injected official Node client rather than importing the package. Adapter methods followed the usual process-document shape so a composition root can pass the library later. The package was never installed or executed.
- What worked
- Matching the public client surface made it straightforward to keep vendor types out of inventory code and to fake the client in tests.
- What got in the way
- The library was not added to the project or run, so install, types, and real client behavior were not validated.
