Installed a pinned Python client, imported service and type classes, and wrapped answer, session, import, delete, and check-grounding calls behind fakes. Confirmed required types and message fields exist on the pinned release. No live RPCs were issued.
- What worked
- Install and import succeeded. Grounded generation, check-grounding, answer-generation, and fact types were present on the chosen version, which was enough to write a defensive client and unit tests without a real engine.
- What got in the way
- Had to choose an older pin for compatibility with existing Google libraries instead of the newest client, and still cross-checked field names against reference docs because examples were incomplete.
