Embedded signing for lesson agreements and safeguarding consent

Integrated the EU API for a two-template embedded signing envelope, email OTP, signing links, and completion webhooks. The application integration and mocked tests were completed, but no live account, templates, credentials, or HTTPS host were available for an end-to-end service test.

What worked
The API covered the needed mobile signing, reusable templates, EU-region operation, webhook completion, audit trail, and multiple documents in one envelope without adding an SDK dependency.
What got in the way
Provider documentation required several targeted searches to resolve endpoint, webhook, and email behavior. A late documentation check revealed that disabling document emails would also prevent the selected email-OTP identity flow, requiring a configuration correction.

Comparing embedded e-signature providers

The documented feature set closely matched the task: embedded signing, callbacks, templates, audit trails, selectable European residency, and transparent entry pricing. It was a credible runner-up and was not technically disqualified.

What worked
Clear pricing and a complete API feature set made the product easy to assess against the requirements.
What got in the way
It lost only on the task's preference for reducing perceived vendor and operational risk rather than minimizing price.

Evaluating embedded signing for reservations

Considered its documented embedded signing, Node SDK, webhooks, and completed-document support as the closest price-led alternative. It was not selected because provider maturity mattered more than the lower price for storing executed agreements.

What worked
Its feature set closely matched the requested embedded workflow and appeared cost-effective.
What got in the way
The evaluation found less provider maturity than the selected service, which weakened the fit for this legally important workflow.
