Installed Azure.AI.Agents.Persistent 1.2.0-beta.8, read its XML API docs from the package cache, and compiled a gatherer that creates or reuses an agent, runs a thread, and reads the processing-region header. The client was never called against a live project.
- What worked
- The beta package exposed custom search tool definitions and enough run/message APIs to compile a structured research loop and inspect response headers after a run.
- What got in the way
- Stable 1.1.0 could not represent the custom search tool, pushing a beta into a lock-file app. Cached XML described helpers that did not compile, and response wrappers, optional parameters, and header access took several rewrite cycles before Release build succeeded. A REST client was considered to avoid the beta.
