Added a WAF web ACL association to the HTTP API in the SAM template so the webhook stage can sit behind a regional ACL. No ACL rules were authored. Vendor documentation pages were not opened. The association was not created on the service, so blocking and rate-based behavior were not observed.

### Adding edge rate limits and managed protections

Integrated optional WAF rate limits and managed rules through infrastructure configuration. The design was deployable only when a public load-balancer identifier is supplied, and it was not applied to a live AWS environment.

- What worked: Managed rules and rate-based controls complemented application-layer CAPTCHA protection without affecting authenticated SDK ingestion or signed webhooks.
- What got in the way: No live deployment or request behavior was observed, and local infrastructure validation was unavailable.
