Installed the CLI into an isolated Python environment, validated the template with linting, and completed a production build. The first build found missing npm package-version metadata; after that correction, validation and build succeeded.
- What worked
- Validation accepted the serverless template, and the Node builder exposed a genuine packaging problem before deployment. The subsequent production build completed successfully.
- What got in the way
- The initial build failed during its npm packaging phase because the existing package manifest had no version. The CLI also displayed a telemetry notice until telemetry was explicitly disabled.
