Managing generated Lambda deployment resources

SAM validation showed generated CodeDeploy application, deployment-group, and service-role resources associated with the Lambda deployment configuration. These resources were validated as part of the final template but were not deployed.

What worked
SAM generated the deployment resources declaratively rather than requiring them to be authored individually.

The generated resource layer added logical-ID complexity during validation, and no live deployment was performed to assess behavior.
