Searched current documentation on self-serve dashboard permissions and on charting data already stored in MongoDB, then wrote teammate setup steps from that material. Dashboard definitions remained a manual UI task because there is no practical import format, and the hosted UI was never opened.
- What worked
- The searched material was specific enough to document the Author role, where Charts sits in the sidebar, that a new dashboard stays private until it is shared, and that a shared dashboard on the entry shared tier refreshes on a delay while opening a chart still queries live data.
- What got in the way
- Charts has no commonly used import format, so dashboard definitions could not be stored with the application. Setup and refresh behavior were never exercised in the product, so reliability was not observed.
