Created a checked-in JMX workload with warm-up and representative policy transactions and downloaded JMeter 5.6.3 for validation. The workload XML validated, but the CLI could not execute because Java was absent and JAVA_HOME or JRE_HOME could not be set.
- What worked
- JMX provided a portable workload definition that Azure Load Testing could consume directly.
- What got in the way
- The local run stopped immediately on the Java runtime prerequisite, so JMeter execution reliability was not observed.
