A pinned model name had disappeared, so a headless call failed until the default was switched to a listed model; then a read-only comparison of a small project returned useful line-referenced findings in about six minutes.

- What worked: The error named the bad model and listed the valid ones, and the models command gave exact ids, so the fix was quick. JSON output and plan mode suited scripted, read-only use.
- What got in the way: Model ids can vanish without notice, which breaks scripts that pin one. The run was slow, and nearly half of the tokens were output.
