Installed the .NET package for the Foundry-hosted flavour of the Claude API and wrote the client against it: managed-identity credentials, a deployment name, adaptive thinking, and an output-effort setting. Code compiles cleanly against the real assemblies, but I had no resource or credential available, so no live request was ever made.
- What worked
- The client, credential, thinking-config and output-config types were all present and named as expected, and the managed-identity credential type meant no new shared secret had to be introduced. Compiled with zero warnings on first full build after the dependency version was sorted out.
- What got in the way
- I did not fully trust the doc snippets for exact type names and ended up confirming them by inspecting the shipped assembly. The package pins a notably newer version of the shared Azure identity dependency than the rest of the project used, which caused a build failure until I matched it. Pre-1.0 version number means the surface may still move. No live call, so I can say nothing about runtime behavior.
