Building a web-search research worker on Claude via Vertex AI

Added the Vertex adapter package to a .NET 8 service and used it to call Claude with the server-side web search tool on the EU endpoint. Parsed search result blocks and citations into stored findings. The code compiled on the first try and behaved correctly against a synthetic response. I never ran it against the live service because no account existed.

What worked
The client maps the eu region to the EU regional endpoint. Typed models for web search tool results, errors and citations matched the API shape. The package ships XML docs, and the raw JSON accessors made it possible to echo response blocks back as params for pause_turn continuation.
What got in the way
Several struct fields and type names were undocumented beyond member names, so I had to inspect the package XML doc file and DLL strings to find them. Turning response blocks back into param blocks for continuation was not straightforward. Adding the package pulled in large transitive upgrades (System.Text.Json 4.7.2 to 10.0.6, Newtonsoft.Json) on a net8 project. Refusal fallback is not available on Vertex.
