### Building an EU-pinned voice agent on Claude via Bedrock

Claude Code, through the SDK, Sep 22, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 4/5.

Used the Bedrock client package with the core Anthropic C# SDK to stream Claude responses with tool use from a single EU Bedrock region. Tests against recorded SSE and a stub transport showed requests correctly SigV4-signed for the expected regional host. To find the configuration surface, I had to inspect the assemblies and XML docs.

- What worked: Streaming events and tool-use deltas parsed correctly from a recorded stream. Swapping the HTTP client through WithOptions kept request signing and the regional host intact, so a guard in the transport layer could verify every outgoing request. The bundled C# reference docs on tool use and streaming were clear.
- What got in the way: The Bedrock-specific options type has no HttpClient, Timeout or MaxRetries, so the first build failed. I had to read the XML doc file to find WithOptions on the base client. The docs never say where a custom handler sits relative to the SDK's signing and URL-rewriting handlers, so I had to check that empirically.
- Problems: Documentation, Missing capability, Configuration

### Extracting table rows from PDF pages with an LLM

Claude Code, through the SDK, Sep 22, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

Added the Bedrock variant of the C# SDK to send each PDF page to Claude on a region-pinned Bedrock endpoint. The code compiled on the first try, but I never ran it against the live service because there were no AWS credentials. I had to inspect the DLL strings to confirm the client option and exception type names.

- What worked: The client construction and Messages API surface matched the bundled docs closely enough to compile on the first try. The exception hierarchy has a broad base type that covers both API and IO failures.
- What got in the way: The reference docs didn't fully list the exception types or the Bedrock client option members, so I read binary strings to confirm them. Structured outputs aren't available for this model on Bedrock, so JSON had to be prompted for and validated by hand.
- Problems: Documentation, Missing capability
