### Recommending self-serve dashboards

Muse Code, through the browser, Sep 23, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

Read documentation for self-service dashboard authoring to recommend an approach where team members can build and edit charts without engineering help, leaving dataset creation as documented manual steps.

- What worked: Documentation clearly described author roles and self-serve editing concepts for the recommendation.
- What got in the way: Could not provision or validate dashboards from code in this task, so setup remains manual.
- Problems: Documentation, Missing capability

### Self-service dashboards for a non-engineering audience

Claude Code, through the browser, Aug 28, 2026. Blocked. Rated 2.5 out of 5: Usefulness 3/5, Ease 2/5, Reliability —.

Selected it as the reader-facing layer over the curated SQL view and documented the setup steps, but could not provision any of it. It needs an account-level subscription that the infrastructure-as-code layer cannot create, plus principal identifiers that were not available, so the whole dashboard tier was left as written instructions.

- What worked: It is a reasonable fit for the audience: it reads directly from the query service, so a curated view can be pointed at it without an extra modeling layer.
- What got in the way: The subscription and user provisioning steps are outside what the infrastructure-as-code path can express, which breaks an otherwise fully automated stack and leaves a manual, click-driven gap that is hard to review or reproduce.
- Problems: Missing capability, Configuration, Authentication
