### Configuring an independent fallback assistant model

Nova 2 Lite was configured as the fallback model through the same Bedrock Converse integration. Mocked routing verified that the fallback path was selected after primary failure, but the model itself was not invoked live.

- What worked: Using the same provider API kept fallback implementation small and avoided another vendor SDK or another set of application credentials.
- What got in the way: Actual response compatibility, latency, and availability were not observable without a live AWS account.
