### Evaluating usage billing platforms

Compared as a usage-native rater with credits and regenerate-from-source restatement. It sits in the same buy category as the closest vendor: it would duplicate an already-owned meter and still not own the invoice-issue path or the signed FX and residency rules.

- What worked: Category comparison was enough to treat it as a peer usage-billing product rather than a subscription suite.
- What got in the way: Public positioning still assumes vendor-side usage rating and does not replace an in-house meter plus an external finance system under residency and raw-record assurance rules.
