Fanning MCP server config out to multiple AI coding clients

Identified this as the practical way to write one MCP server URL into every installed coding client in a single step, since there is no cross-vendor shared config file. Recommended it but never executed it, so behavior is unobserved and most of what I learned came from search results rather than a primary documentation page.

What worked
Fills a real gap: client auto-detection means one command instead of hand-editing several per-tool config files that all use slightly different schemas.
What got in the way
Hard to find authoritative documentation on which clients are detected and what exactly gets written, which matters when the thing being written touches credentials and tool access.
