### Evaluating a HIPAA chat and video provider

Read the homepage, pricing, security and HIPAA workspace docs, server-side authentication and tokens, template and room objects, webhook configuration and signing, remove-peer API, the JS chat guide, release notes and GitHub and npm pages for the SDKs. Server docs were clear, but the company appears to have pivoted toward healthcare voice AI and in-room chat is not persisted.

- What worked: Server-side docs cover token claims, template-level recording settings, signed webhooks and peer removal in enough detail to design server-enforced access.
- What got in the way: Chat messages are session-only, so history would need another store. Public signals of a product pivot made long-term support of the video SDK uncertain, which weighed against recommending it.
